Babysitting gone BAD

I just have to blog about this because one of my best friends and her husband are blogging about taking their dog to charm school and how well the little pup is doing (Yes, I'm talking about you Becky and JR).
So, I was babysitting two little kids this evening. I think they are 3 and 4, but that's besides the point. I was upstairs attempting to get them into their pajamas when I heard a loud noise downstairs like something fell. I ignored it for the time being because I needed to get the kids semi-ready for bed and I figured no one could be hurt because I was with them. I ended up running downstairs about 15 minutes later because the phone rang. It turned out to be a wrong number, but thank heavens I did because I found the dog sitting on the cream carpet in the living room feasting on BRIGHT BLUE Fun Dip. It seems as though the noise I had heard was the dog jumping up on the counter to where the Valentine's Day candy was sitting and got a hold of some granola bars, candy and the colorful Fun Dip powder. I did my best to clean the bright blue circle (the size of a dinner plate) out of the carpet, but it definitely left a stain. Luckily, the mom didn't seem to be phased by the story. We'll see if I'm asked to sit again. And just when I thought I was done with candy for a while...

that is awesome!!!! i would say that at least the dog wasn't eating something harmful to him because then it could have gotten really bad. :-) i would like to think that you will be asked back since the dog behavior has nothing to do with your ability to babysit. that is a pretty great story though. and thanks for the shout out in the blog. miss ya and hope you are having a great week. xoxo
