Happy 2009!

I hope your new year is off to a good start. So far, I've spent my new year with friends and family which is always nice. I even watched a little football (Orange Bowl especially).
I am still waiting to receive my furniture and clothes. The moving company says the truck is behind due to the weather, plus the holidays don't help either. Luckily, I have a bed and necessities here at home and am not stuck in an empty apartment without anything! I realize it's not as nice around the rest of the country, but it seems strange to hear that weather is the cause because it's been so calm here. Last weekend the temperature was as high as 65. This weekend it's suppose to get over 50. Definitely not the normal December/January weather.
I am even more anxious to get my things because I finished reading Twilight and the next book in the series is packed away in one of my boxes. I have been able to catch up on some movies. I finally saw Eagle Eye which I wasn't impressed with. I found it slightly confusing and disappointing in terms of a story line. I also watched Smart People and Burn After Reading. Smart People was funny, but a little slow and Burn After Reading was just strange. You definitely have to be in a slap happy type of mood or have a dry sense of humor to fully enjoy it. Both George Clooney and Brad Pitt play some "different" type of characters - both are slightly OCD in different ways. At the theatre, I'd like to see Marley and Me (I finished that book a couple of weeks ago) and Frost/Nixon. Kevin, my younger brother told me he's heard good things about Milk which is in theatres and the old station's reviewer, Jason, saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He says it's fantastic.
In the working sector of my life, not much to say. Still looking and sending my resume out. I've heard back from a couple of news directors who've said to keep in touch, but no openings right now.
But...it's a new year with new possibilities!

I am reading the Twilight books too and I am hooked! I hope your truck comes soon because you need to catch up with Edward's life! I haven't seen the movie yet but I heard it's good. Happy New Year and good luck with the job search. Think Minneapolis....
