I know, I know, it's been nearly two and a half weeks since I last wrote an entry. Thank you Emily Rose for bringing it to my attention. The truth is, I just haven't had a lot going on. I've done a lot of reading (starting the last of the Twilight series), spending time with my parents and helping them out as much as possible during the work week. I definitely need a lot of practice in the cooking department. I think I mess up something each night. I even had to print out directions from the Internet to figure out how to make spaghetti. Bad, I know. I still don't know either. My mom got off early from work and took care of it, laughing at my print out.
I really am enjoying my time back home and feel blessed to have this time to do some soul searching. I'm continuing to send out resumes and keep my eyes and ears open for tips from friends and family. Unfortunately, nothing has come up and I'm learning of more and more people who have lost their jobs. I did get my name out to my neighbors about babysitting and have a couple of jobs lined up. I'm also talking with a florist who is in need of a temporary worker for these weeks leading up to Valentines Day. She needs some extra hands making candy bouquets. She's going to call me Monday to figure out a time for me to come to the store and see if the position is something I'd like to do. I will be sure to blog about whatever comes out of that.
On a side note, I forgot how long it has been since I last babysat and played outdoor games. I know that sounds funny, but when the young girl asked me to draw hopscotch for her on the driveway I really had to think about it. I drew a mini one first (about the size of my fist) to practice and the little girl looked at me with sad eyes telling me it was too small. I really thought she was going to cry. Luckily, I was able to draw a life size one fast enough before tears began flowing. Overall, the babysitting experience went well.
I think that is it for now. I promise to keep in touch much better in the future.
(ps. Kelli A. where are you in the Twilight series?! Did you finish?)

I still haven't started the fourth book. I realized the other day that once I finish that one, I won't have anything else to look forward to. My roommate just finished and said the fourth good is very very good! I might have to start it soon. Have a good weekend megs!
